Why do I have to enter my password so frequently?¶
For the login the page verifies your credentials against the DKRZ's LDAP-System. This is a secured connection. Which prevents you from a man-in-the-middle attack.
The system does not save your password. When submitting a job the system connects you via SSH to a miklip server. To establish this secure connection you have to re-enter your password. This is as save as using SSH itself.
What happens when I delete entries from the history?¶
When you delete data from the history it won't be removed permanently. Only a status flag is set indicating not to display the data in your usual history.
You can recover your "deleted" entries by using the filter located under your history table. When you select "Filter: deleted" and push the filter button all deleted entries will be shown and an "undelete" button is provided.
