Problem with variables in a NetCDF file

Hi everyone!
I have a NC file with different variables. The first variable has this format "year month day value", for example, the first element of the variable called year is: 1979 01 01 0.0000
Anyone knows how to extract the value to obtain a new NC file, and get rid of "year month day".

uuuuh, this is completely messed up. the problem is that your time dimension has 13514 entries, but the year variable only has 3378 read dates. So what are all the remaining values in your data variables about? you could create a time axis out of the year variables, but I don't see a clear path in reordering the data variables accordingly.
My recommendation is: go back to the source and try to get better data. Because here you really have to know the details to repair this file.
