cdo installing on ubuntu 11.04

Dear
I want to install cdo and i am using the ubuntu 11.04. When i follow the instruction gave (./confifure, make, make check and make install) but despite doing all this things i am not able to install it in my ubuntu.
Please any help and suggestion.

Ubuntu comes with CDO which can be installed easily from Ubuntu sofatware centre (the cdo version is always older in the ubuntu software center).This is the easiest way to install CDO on ubuntu.
