converting grads ctl file to nc
Added by sunil kuamr khadgarai about 6 years ago
Hello,
I have one question regarding time stamp in nc file converted from grads ctl file.
I have a grads ctl file which describes time as linear at daily interval.
Later when i convert this ctl file to nc, it shows time units since hours format including seconds as mentioned below.
I have used "cdo -f nc import_binary *.ctl *.nc" command to convert ctl to nc. please help to restrict time dimension in nc file up to minutes.
For example units = 'hours since 1998-1-1 00:00'
grads ctl file description:
xdef 360 linear 60.125 0.25
ydef 280 linear -14.875 0.25
zdef 1 levels 0
tdef 6574 linear 01jan1998 1dy
ncfile time dimension for the same grads ctl file.
time Size: 365x1
Dimensions: time
Datatype: double
Attributes:
standard_name = 'time'
units = 'hours since 1998-1-1 00:00:00'
calendar = 'standard'
axis = 'T'
