error in CDO libraries

Hi Dear CDO users
I had CDO in my system by get it as "sudo apt-get install cdo", after a week I decide to install it by source package,
so I download it from CDO website and install in my system. But when I want to work with CDO I got this error:
cdo mergetime: Open failed on >3B42_daily.1998.04.02.6.nc<
Unsupported file type (library support not compiled in)
Any help?

Hi!
I guess you have called
configure; make; make installBut thats not enough for getting netcdf support. Please use
configure --with-netcdf
Anyhow, it would be very helpfull, to have the config.log which is generated by configure Please note the recommondations for posting here to get help most effectively.
