Converting from pressure levels to sigma levels

Hello,
I have reanalysis 2 data at various pressure levels as seen here - https://www.esrl.noaa.gov/psd/data/gridded/data.ncep.reanalysis2.html in netCDF files (actually 17 netCDF files) of various variables. I read here - https://code.mpimet.mpg.de/news/349 that with CDO you can now interpolate from pressure levels to sigma levels. Is that a correct observation on my part ? Please note that there are 17 pressure levels and 28 sigma levels and the values of the sigma values are available. Is the interpolation possible ? The output should be in netCDF.

Hello Ashwin,
The CDO operator ap2hl interpolates 3D variables on hybrid sigma height coordinates to height levels. There is no CDO operator to interpolate pressure levels to sigma levels, sorry.
