Anyone knows how to calculate fram strait sea water volume import using cdo?

It depends. Do you only have data files or can you run the model - btw: which model????

One is MPIOM GR15 data, downloaded from CMIP5.
Another is a triangle-mesh data (FESOM), but can be interpolated onto GR15 or regular grid.

These type of variables are best computing inside the model, because the different geometric properties of velocity vectors and scalars like the density are fully available inside the model but usually not in model output files. MPIOM has a dedicated output variable for fram strait transport and I'm pretty sure, that it was part of the CMIP5-related list of required output fields. Same should hold true for FESOM, although I do not have access to the source code. Typically model do this kind of things during the run.
