eof_issue

Hi everyone!
I have a doubt in relation to EOF; I computed for the 10modes
cdo eof,10 anom_file eval_file eof_file
My question is, would there be any possibility to get the variance of each mode??
(I suppose that it would obtained from eval_file , with eigenvalues, but in other other process?

Hi Noelia,
The explained variances are the relative proportions of each eigenvalue to the total sum of eigenvalues:
cdo -div eval_file -timsum eval_file explvar_file
