Questions about a hidden interpolation command
Added by liren wei over 1 year ago
Hello everyone,
I found a remap command interpolate
when I read some script obtained from GitHub. I've looked through various versions of the CDO's User Guide, but I can't find any useful information about this command . I have tried to run this command on my computer. It works normally, which means that this command still exists in the current version of CDO.
I hope to get more information on this command such as the details of algorithm. I would be very grateful if someone could provide such information!
P.S. Here is a GitHub script that uses this command:

The function interpolate was adopted in CDO a long time ago, as we did not have standard remapping routines like bilinear, bicubic etc. at that time. We will remove this function in CDO Release 3.0, as it has not been needed for more than 15 years. The attached documentation is from a very old software package that is no longer supported by us.
