CDO

Hello,

I know that this has been addressed in an earlier post, but I can't read GFS data output as archived on their site (ie, one file per time step, containing all the variables):

ftp://ftpprd.ncep.noaa.gov/pub/data/nccf/com/gfs/prod/gfs.20211201/06/atmos/

by using cdo. Even after setting "export GRIB_INVENTORY_MODE=time", I still get a "Unsupported file structure" message. Apologies if this has been solved already, but haven't found anything in the posts or the Internet at large.

Is there a way to read GFS files at all with cdo ?
