Multiple time series from a 2D grid

Added by Richard Harvey about 3 years ago

Hello all,

I wish to use the -remapbil option to interpolate multiple time series from distinct geographical points on a 2D grid, but it seems that cdo is not designed to handle this particular situation... or am I wrong? Did anybody succeed in doing this? Otherwise I have to call the cdo function hundreds of times, which I would like to avoid...

Thanks for your help,

Richard H

hi Richard!

I think CDO should be able to do it. do you have some sample data?

I think the hardest part will be the setup of the final 2d grid - but without the data it's hard to say

Hello Ralf,

Upon rereading my question, I think I did not express it accurately enough... what I want is to know how to interpolate time series for several points simultaneously (up to the machine's available threads) and not having to go through all of them serially (I have 700+ stations I wand to provide time series for). Attached is some data of 2m temperature from a 72-hour WRF run.

Awaiting your thoughts/ideas on this.

Thanks !
Richard H.
