CDO configuration help
Added by Jonathan K over 4 years ago
Hello erverybody,
I am installing CDO on my work computer. I am using cygwin to run it.
Its a little tricky due to admin restrictions but I've got it runing now without giving me any errors whene executing CDO in the cygwin terminal.
Unfortunately now I am getting no response from CDO what so ever. I just ran some basic comands for testing functionality.
I atteched a screenshot of the situation.
Does anyone know how to proceed with this or what might be the cause CDO is not responding.
Thank you for you time and effort in advance.
Kindly
Jonathan

tbh I use a fresh install to fix this :-\
do you use win10?
RE: CDO configuration help - Added by Ralf Mueller over 4 years ago
I updated my installation in win10 and is works without problems. In case you use win10, you can use the Linux-subsystem.
simply start 'bash' from the search field in the task bar. then you have can install cdo-1.9.3
sudo apt-get install cdo

Having trouble with permissions in order to execute sudo.
I am thinking this might all be relatetd to permission issues since CDO is installed in an admin restricted directory.
I am working on it with our admin. I will give update on progress.

AFAIK you have to use your normal windows login password

I think so too. I tried to use 'runas' instead of 'sudo' and it asks for my password but does not accept it.
I think it needs do be done by the system admin. I'll try a fresh install into a directory that's not admin restricted.
