CDO

Dear CDO gurus,

I am using

CDO version 1.9.3, Copyright (C) 2003-2018 Uwe Schulzweida

and I would be grateful to learn more about the somewhat undocumented "projection" gridtype specification for a CDO grid.

My basic issue is that I have some global climate data in a global gaussian grid (netCDF format), for which I would like to extract a part and transform to projected space (a UTM projection). My questions are:

• Is this possible using the CDO grid description "projection" specification?
• How do I specify the map projection in the CDO grid description file, or in a target netCDF?
