Missing GRIB end section

sinfon and several cdo commands fails with the grib file of this link https://portal.nccs.nasa.gov/lisdata_pub/data/MET_FORCING/GDAS/201601/2016010100.gdas1.sfluxgrbf00.sg
The error is:
cdo sinfov 2016010100.gdas1.sfluxgrbf00.sg
Missing GRIB end section: found >Y���<
GRIB message error
Error (cgribexGetGrid) : numberOfPoints (24646862) and gridSize (4718592) differ!
The cdo version is 1.6.5.
Can you help me on this? I want to perform several cdo operations with this file.

Thanks for this example. This is definitely a bug in CDO and will be solved in the next release. A prerelease will be available next week.
