cdo yearmean

Dear ALL
I want to take yearmean on a file from 1950-2012. Yearmean should be from October of an year to september of next year. Which month should I mention in cdo yearmean.

yearmean computes the yearly mean from January to December of the same year. There is no CDO operator to compute the yearly mean from October of a year to September of the next year, sorry. You can try to select your yearly periods with e.g. seltimestep and the use timmean to compute the mean over this selected period.
