When I work on the NSIDC sea ice concentration data, I want to merge the data using
"cdo cat *.nc outfile.nc".
But it displays this warning
"cdi warning (cdfInqContents): Coordinates variable time can't be assigned!"
And it can't be opened in Panoply with the error
"There was an exception preparing the data: Got null retrieving GEOX coordinate axis."
Is there any solving approaches? Thanks very much!
I had the same problem yesterday when I worked on another forum question. I created a time axis with the settaxis operator but Panoply still returned the GEOX coordinates error, only after remapping the data the Panoply was able to handle the data. Can you upload one of your files?
