cdo -remapbil, taking so much time....

I was trying to regrid persiann-cdr.nc data according to gpcc.nc data grid, by following command
cdo -remapbil,target-grid persiann-cdr.nc persiann-cdr-RG.nc
but its taking so much time (almost 9-10 hours nd still its running), could anyone suggest a better way to do this quickly . The grid descriptions of both data sets is given below.

the code seems fine. I think you do not need to include the x,ybounds here because remapbil does not use the grid distance. If it is taking that long time it is because you have too many timesteps and your computer is suffering. In fact, if it has been running for 10 hours, your computer is probably frozzen. Upon looking the grids, it seems to me that your target grid is a shiftsubgrid. This can be done easily in python or matlab. If you want to use cdo, you need to think in your computer. It seems it is trying to eat a watermelon without cutting it in pieces. You need to select the grid region that you are interested and then you shift the grid to your coordinates with remapbil. I am not sure the name of the commands though, you need to find this in the manual.

I am sorry. I think I totally misundertood the pproblem. So you want interpolate a grid 1440x480 limited by latitude 60S and 60N to a grid 1440x720 limited by latitude 89S and 89N. cdo does not have information for the poles that is probably why it taking that long time. I am not sure if there is a solution.
