setcindexbox vs selindexbox : No regular grid found!

Hey, I have a file and selindexbox works fine, but setcindexbox gives me:
cdo setcindexbox (Abort): No regular grid found!
Is this a bug?

[cdo version 2.0.4 on levante.dkrz.de]
cdo -s -setcindexbox,0,155,161,303,311 test.nc test2.nc
cdo -s -selindexbox,155,161,303,311 test.nc test2.nc

testet on mistral.dkrz.de:
version 1.6 and 1.7 work, from 1.8 on "No regular grid found!"
