CDO in the Cloud

Is CDO able to access data chunks from an AWS S3 bucket instead of pulling the whole file to subset it?
In general, is CDO compatible with AWS systems and standards?

Unfortunately, we have not been able to try this out yet. I assume that it does not work yet. We will try it out at the next opportunity and update CDO if necessary.
