System Error
Added by Juhwan Lee over 10 years ago
I put cdo.exe and pthreadGC2.dll in C:\Windows\System32. But, I am getting an error message:
"The program can't start becasue pthreadGC2.dll is missing from your computer. ..."
I wonder if there are steps that I need to take to run CDO in Windows 7. Thanks!

I don't think so. C:\Windows\System32
should be part of your PATH variable, so it should work. I will x-check with win7 .... after the next 15 updates ;-)

Thanks for the reply! Yes, it is the part of my PATH variable so it should work. But, it is not working and that's really strange to me.
In fact, I have two accounts, one with admin privileges and the other without. I simply copy and paste these two files in the system folder as admin. And I am trying to run it with the other account. Maybe I should contact our IT.

Some Read-repv. might be missing. You could also use a self-defined directory as long it part of PATH.

I checked my win7 installation:
- cdo.exe and pthreadGC2.dll copied to
C:\cdo
- User defined PATH variable with
C:\cdo
added
cdo runs without problems in cmd and powershell.
