error using remapbil with cdo-1.5.8- win32
Added by Majana Heidenreich almost 12 years ago
Dear all,
occasionally I use the cdo windows version. “Remapbil” with my old version (1.4.5.1) worked fine. But with the new version (1.5.8) I get the following error message:
Error (cdoDefineGrid): Read grid from dest_grid.grd failed!
I tried to generate the grid description file with the new version (griddes). But this had no effect.
Additionally I calculated daily values from a 3-hourly field (5 years each 365 days, total 14600 time steps). I expected 1825 time steps but I get 1826. What did I wrong?
With my old cdo version I used:
cdo daymean -remapbil,test.grd ifile.nc ofile.nc
Furthermore, when I do “remapbil” for the temperature I get the following warning because of the height as fourth dimension:
Warning (cdfSetDim) : Inconsistent dimension definition for height! dimid = 0; type = 0; newtype = 3
Can I work with the result file? It’s without the height but I don’t need this variable.
See attached the gridfile and the description of the temperature input file.
Thanks for your help!
Majana
