In Zhang et al (20105) "Avoiding Inhomogeneity in Percentile-Based Indices of Temperature Extremes" Journal of Climate 18(11):1641-1651, bias in percentile-based indices due to uncertainty in the quantile estimated from data in the reference period is discussed.
Is any correction applied for this effect in the algorithms in CDO? For example, in the computation of eca_r99p?
