cdo merge

Dear all,

I am trying to concatenate some grib files using CDO in this way

cdo merge tmp0.grb tmp1.grb tmp2.grb

The files tmp0.grb and tmp1.grb have both 365 time steps(the same
steps each), but the problem is that the resulting file tmp2.grb has
720=365*2 time steps which is not correct!!!

Could you please help me solve this problem ?

Dear Mouhamad,

It seems that both input files have the same parameterID/codenumber. This is not supported in CDO and you will get the following warning message:

cdo merge (Warning): Duplicate entry of parameter X in stream2!

Workaround is to change the parameterID/codenumber of one input file.
