Can data on curvilinear grids be interpolated to regular lonlat grid-regarding
Added by Naveen Pothula over 5 years ago
Hi,
I have a .nc file which is on curvilinear grids, can it be interpolated on to regular lonlat grid using CDO, using bilinear interpolation remapbil?
I am asking this question, because CDO uses SCRIP (A Spherical Coordinate Remapping and Interpolation Package). In the users manual of this SCRIP package its said that Remapbil be used only for logically rectangular grid. Will the curvilinear grid come under logically rectangular grid. Hence my doubt.
I have searched for the mail address of those who have supplied the SCRIP package. But I could not contact them. So, some one kindly throw some light on this.
I don't know whether I should proceed with Remapbil or go for Remapnn or remapcon.Kindly helpor give a suggestion
Thanking You,
best regards.
