I am using ECMWF accumulated parameters, eg latent heat flux. The recommendation to obtain a daily total is to select times 00:00 and 12:00 and then select steps=12, to get the accumulated total over the twelve hour period following the times selected, then add the two values to get a daily total. However, this means that the second time value now becomes 00:00 on the following day. e.g. 1979-01-01:00:00 +12 becomes 1979-01-01: 12:00, but 1979-01-01:12:00 becomes 1979-01-02:00:00. How is it possible to find the daily total for these two values when they have different dates recorded?
