CDO

Hi,

I want to average data on a 1x1 degree grid to give a global average. I found a file "gridweights.nc" from earlier work I had done and want to verify that it's what I need. According to the global attributes, it was computed using CDO as

cdo gridweights MERRA.2d.rad.monthly.1x1.201002.nc gridweights.nc

where (possibly obviously), MERRA.2d.rad.monthly.1x1.201002.nc is an example of the 1x1 data files.

I've looked in the CDO documentation and searched this forum and can't find any "gridweights" command. Can anyone clue me in?
