Its possible to get/choose (with cdo) only values in a ifile above some number?

There are several selection operations: https://code.zmaw.de/projects/cdo/embedded/1.6.4/cdo.html#x1-1070002.3
You could mask out the interesting stuff (e.g. values, areas) - look for gtc of ltc
