How to reference CDO in a paper?

What is the best way to cite CDO in an academic paper?
Ideally, I think it would be great if the managers of CDO wrote a paper for the Jounral of Open Research Software (http://openresearchsoftware.metajnl.com/) to describe CDO. This would provide a citable DOI for it.

Thank for the link to the Jounral of Open Research Software. We will try to write a citable CDO paper during the next year.
