mergetime 1.6 differs from mergetime 1.5

Dear CDO-ers,

with mergetime of CDO 1.5 whichever was the name of the time variable, in the output file it was always set to "time"
with CDO 1.6 such renaming doesn't happen anymore.
Can I rely on the new behaviour in the next releases?

Yes, the name of the time variable will not changed during the processing with CDO anymore. None of the variable names should be change, otherwise it is a bug! Only some dimension names could be change.
