Is there any thought of being able to use the remapping weights generated by the
ESMF ESMF_RegridWeightGen utility? ( http://www.earthsystemcog.org/projects/regridweightgen/ )
The ESMF can use the SCRIP grid descriptors to create the weights files but the
weights file output has different names for the variables from that created by SCRIP.
The SCRIP code has some definite limitations that have been addressed by the ESMF.
Inclusion of ESMF would enhance the CDO capability.
