CDO

Hi there,

I noticed that there is no CDO function giving the gradient of a scalar field.
Why is that? Any workaround solutions? Imagine, for example, that one needs to
calculate temperature advection...

Also, to calculate the divergent wind components from full (u,v) data on Gaussian grid I thought
of calculating first divergence and vorticity (with uv2dv), then setting the vorticity to zero
and do the inverse transform (dv2uv). Does this make sense?

Note: of course one needs to use also sp2gp and gp2sp.
