I have a small question regarding the function fldmean. In the description it says that it is “weighted by area weights obtained by the input field” –I suppose this means that it takes in to consideration the distance per degree isn’t constant over longitudes and latitudes?
I am also curious about whether you use Euclidean or Elliptical geometry to calculate the area?
