error in selecting specific time

Hallo CDO,

When I run this command: cdo selseas,SON Z500.nc Z500_Season.nc (Daily Data 1995-1998).
I got this error:

Axis definition error on axis: time
Bounds given describe non-contiguous axis cells
Using the LOWER bound specified for each axis cell

Is the result still correct even if i got this error?
I'm using CDO version 1.5.8.

Hi,

It's not a CDO error. I guess, it is from the NetCDF library - it means the "bounds" (time bounds) attribute is incorrect in your file. Anyway, I'm not sure if this will affect any cdo operation.

Hi,
The data was retrieved from NCEP R1 datasets.
It's a bit risk for me to use the output of CDO operation in this case.

Yes, this error message is coming directly from the netCDF library. Is it possible to attach this netCDF file?
