CDO

I have a large atmospheric model dataset that I wish to split into individual files at each time step. To do this, I use splitsel as follows:

cdo splitsel,1 Large_File, Individual_File_Prefix

This does what I expect to do, except the individual files are now missing some variables that were in the original large file (i.e. the variables corresponding to the coefficients of hybrid layers etc.) Do you know why this happens/how to prevent it?
