cyghdf5-101.dll missing when running CDO
Added by Brian Gaze over 3 years ago
Hi,
I'm completely new to CDO, so please excuse my ignorance! I have done the following:
1) Installed cygwin on Windows Server 2012
2) Downloaded and unpacked cdo-1.9.10
When I run cdo from the command line it tells me cyghdf5-101.dll is missing.
I've searched for this dll and it does not appear to be part of the cygwin install. I'm also unable to find it on the internet as a standalone dll download.
Can anyone help or explain what I am doing wrong?
Thanks
Brian

Try libhdf5_101: Hierarchical Data Format - (runtime) <https://cygwin.com/cgi-bin2/package-cat.cgi?file=x86_64%2Flibhdf5_101%2Flibhdf5_101-1.10.2-1>
Note that cdo-1.9.10 has problems with some netcdf formats. If this affects you, "issues: bug #10069" will tell you how to either 1.9.0 locally from source or get a Cygwin build of
2.0.0rc1.

Thanks for the suggestion, but even with those dlls are added in I am getting a "The application was unable to start correctly" message. Therefore, I've switched to running on an Ubuntu box instead.

can you try the CDO 2.0.0rc1 package just released in Cygwin ?

Using the Cygwin setup, should solve the problem of library dependencies
