cant find cdo

hi all
previously i had cdo 1.7
after dt i download cdo 1.9.5
i was getting problem in cdo infi infile.nc command
all my try didnt work. so i deleted the folder containing cdo 1.9.5 and cdo file from /usr/bin and from /usr/local/
now i want my old cdo 1.7 which one is by default in my system.
i tried following commands and got errors
dell@dell-Inspiron-15-3567:~$ sudo apt-get install cdo
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
cdo is already the newest version (1.7.0+dfsg.1-2build2).
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 53 not upgraded.
dell@dell-Inspiron-15-3567:~$ cdo

sudo apt install cdo
dell@dell-Inspiron-15-3567:~$ sudo apt install cdo

Hi Sanjukta,
as I understand the messages from apt get there is only a very old version available.
Have a look at https://code.mpimet.mpg.de/projects/cdo/wiki#Installation-and-Supported-Platforms
If you have anaconda or miniconda installed you can install CDO using conda.
