"cdo griddes" provides "yval" instead of "yinc" and "yfirst"

Hi everybody,

I have a script that used "cdo griddes" command to retrieve the "yinc" and "yfirst" values of a NetCDF files.
But on some NetCDF files I have the "yval" parameter provided instead.
Could you explain me this behaviour of cdo?

yfirst and yinc are used if the coordinates are equidistant.
yvals is used if yinc is not constant.
