polar stereographic to lambert with remap?

Hello,
Can you please tell me if it is possible to use remapbil to transform a NetCDF file from a polar stereographic projection to lambert conformal conic? My initial attempts are failing with the error: cdo remapbil (Abort): Unsupported grid type: generic
