Unsupported file type error (netcdf4) with macports installation

Hi,

I've just installed CDO with macports, which worked fine. When I try to use it I get the following error:

Unsupported file type (library support not compiled in)
To create a CDO application with NetCDF4 support use: ./configure --with-netcdf=<NetCDF4 root directory> ...

I have already installed netcdf4 with macports.

Please could you help me figure this out?

hi Natascha!

macports is maintained by different group of developers, but lets check your binary first:

  1. Can you upload the output of cdo -V please?
  2. Can you upload the input file and the cdo call which created the above error message, please
  3. Can you check the command cdo -f nc -topo t.nc
