Hello,

I would like to merge two of the detailed grib files from BSH:

https://www.bsh.de/EN/DATA/Predictions/Currents/Surface_currents_for_sailors/surface_currents_for_sailors_node.html

Whatever I tried with append/merge/etc, the resulting file could only partly be read by my grib-viewer ... only one of the two files was displayed.

I assume reasons could be:
- two ajacent regions are partly overlapping
- looking for example at two overlapping regions being north and south from each other the longitude of the horizontal start and endpoint are not identical for both areas.

How can I merge two files like that with cdo.
